Travel Series: Le Café Marly
Before and after we visited the Louvre, we dined at a quint restaurant Café Marly. Originally named after the Marly courtyard where French sculptures from the seventeenth century where presented. A court that can be observed specially designed windows inside the restaurant by Yves Taralon decorators and Olivier Gagnère. But the Café Marly, is also a sublime terrace under the arcades lining the Cour Napoléon, the best place in Paris to admire the famous glass pyramid of IM Pei.
Before we went into the Louvre we decided to dine at Cafe Marly( the first time). We had an amazing waiter who grew up in London, but was originally from Paris (which helped many of us on staff as not everyone was well versed in French and no one had to translate) We started our meal with French tea as we discussed with our waiter the specials and what he felt was the best item on the menu.

After awhile our waiter suggested we try the lamb, as the mash potatoes he suggested were amazing. The staff agreed to try this with a wine paired wine. After a few glasses of wine and a great meal we shuttled off to the Louvre, but not before our waiter suggested we return after our visit at the museum for dessert.

Taking him up on his suggestion we did return and have the dessert he suggested. A cheese cake with strawberries on the side. Le Cafe Marly is a wonderful dining experience with only a few steps away from the Louvre it is a must visit when you go to Paris.
