2. The Fall Guy
As stated in our review, The Fall Guy is surprisingly fun. A love story with action, and the stunts…honestly it was a real fun time more of an 80’s style action movie than anything but a good time. Unfortunately, that did not translate into ticket sales, which is more to an audience’s lack of interest in going to theaters. This was one of the few actually entertaining theatrical offerings to come out this year. Though there’s not really room in the plot for a sequel we wish there would be. If you have not seen it
1. Deadpool & Wolverine
The best thing Marvel Studios has made since Endgame (save the Spider-Man films as Sony had a lot to do with stopping the bad decisions Marvel/Disney have been making the past few years)
Honorable Mention (Film 2024)
The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare
Dune: Part Two
The Best Television of 2024
10. Stax Soulsville U.S.A.
9. Tulsa King
8. Mayor of Kingstown
7. Invincible (Season 2, Part 2)
The second half of season two of Invincible was actually good. Unlike part one (which is firmly seated on our “worst of 2023” list) which had little action and overall boring, the half has action and actual character development.
6. Fight Night: The Million Dollar Heist
5. Bad Monkey
4. The Gentlemen
3. The Penguin
2. Shogun
1. Tokyo Vice (Season 2)
At the end of the first season, there were a lot of questions about the cast of characters based on the season finale.
Honorable Mention (Television 2024)
Hit Monkey
Go! Go! Loser Ranger!
DanDanDan
Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F
Code 8: Part II
Jack Reacher
Road House
Before the release, there was a bit of controversy about the movie’s original theatrical release. As director, Doug Liman, stated when Amazon purchased MGM they would not place it on streaming. After watching it… it’s clear this was always meant for streaming. Of course, it is enjoyable in the way a cheesy

Tekken 8
2. Black Myth: Wukong
This game appeared out of nowhere with a simple thirteen-minute trailer and not much else. This was enough to pique our interest, though this being Game Science‘s first none mobile game
1. Stellar Blade
There is no secret we enjoyed (based on our review)
Honorable Mention (Gaming in 2024)
2. Rise of the Ronin
1. Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II
In preparation for this sequel, we played the first installment of the franchise

Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire
3. Monkey Man
2. Argylle
This was a massive disappointment given it was Matthew Vaughn, and they billed it as an action-adventure similar to Kingsmen in the trailers…..like everyone we were excited. Unfortunately, we should have just waited for this to
1. Joker: Folie à Deux
disHonorable Mention (Films 2024)
The Crow
Like many of you, when we first hear there was a new Crow adaptation in the works we were not excited.
Borderlands
The Worst Television of 2024
This year seemed to have an unusual amount of bad television (we have not seen this many since 2020)
Suicide Squad: Isekai
This was HBO Max/Max/[adult swim] attempt at an original anime series, unlike the many we came across this year this one was just awful. You’d think the new executives at both Warner Brothers/DC Comics would have stopped this and like Batwoman wrote it off as a loss for taxes. Unfortunately, they released it and it did damage to the characters and the genre they are supposed to be in. This like many on this list just disappoints. We watched a few great anime series this year but it seems the great DC animation of old we all grew up enjoying is long gone.
Sugar
This show started as a cool LA noir style detective show and we really enjoyed it
Ninja Kamui
The Acolyte
3. Rebel Moon Part Two: The Scargiver
2. Batman: Caped Crusader
By far some of the worst writing we have ever seen on the small screen. Batman is so far below a novice in his skill set

Biggest Disappointment of 2024
X-Men ’97
Many of us here at, TheLifeStyleElite.com, grew up watching this as children, and when we heard they were bringing the series back as a continuation of the final season we were all excited. Unfortunately, as we stated on X (formerly Twitter) after the first two episodes, its just boring with cheesy dialogue and bad voice acting. Granted there were moments where they actually made Cyclops look like a leader and use his abilities in the way it would be used in the comics in the 90s. Sadly apart from the voice actors that performed Storm and Rouge, the rest did not have urgency in the moments they needed. This was on top of the choppy sometimes slow animation that made the lip-syncing fall behind and overall seem cheap. Considering this is Disney which has made its very name as being a leader in animation for over 100 years, seems a bit sad. This of course was only the first two episodes and we went on to watch the rest of the season hoping the animation, voice acting, and story would get better. It was pretty passable until the last three episodes but never really got past the rushed feel of cramming complex storylines into one or two episodes. Despite a few good action scenes out of ten entire episodes, ultimately the season was just…meh. Borderline ok and on the edge of boring. It often comes across as if Zack Snyder was the show running action over substance (given what we now know about the former showrunner) with extremely rushed character development that doesn’t seem like they earned any development. Ultimately this was supposedly the return of Marvel…it just falls flat.

Final Thoughts
This year has been very interesting, we have expanded our gaming division, played and enjoyed many console games (Stellar Blade and Black Myth: Wukong),
