The Ghosts are set to make a welcome return to consoles in the near future, joining fellow Tom Clancy properties like Rainbow 6 and The Division as Ubisoft took to E3 in Los Angeles to reveal the latest installment of the popular Ghost Recon series: Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands. Created to be the first military shooter set in a massive and responsive open world, this game takes place in Bolivia, a few years from now. The country has become the largest cocaine producer in the world. The Santa Blanca drug cartel has turned the country into a narco-state, leading to lawlessness, injustice, and violence. The Ghosts, an elite US Special Forces team, is sent behind enemy lines to wreak havoc and takedown the cartel.Naturally, the Ghosts an elite U.S. Special Forces unit are sent behind enemy lines to take down the cartel in a campaign that promises to be playable completely solo or via four-player co-op.
