For all the iPhone users that recently updated to iOS7 the launch of iTunes Radio, a move that was announced today. In light of powerful advances by Spotify, the tech behemoth takes some pages from its competitors’ books to unveil the ad-supported service as a part of the iOS 7 mobile update. iTunes Radio will create playlists or “stations,” based off of a user’s existing library, streaming from iTunes‘ catalogue of music. Further, users are able to make requests for stations using Siri. This move is especially poignant given iTunes’ existing library, which is arguably the most extensively licensed digital library available. The service is free for iOS users.
