The Fantastic Four: First Steps | Review
Pros:
- The overall 60s aesthetic
Cons:
- Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards
Final Verdict: Much like Thunderbolts*, this is a win in the latest Marvel Studios current collection of releases. It’s far from the quality of Endgame, but it’s a step in the right direction. Though we still feel Pedro was grossly miscast, he doesn’t take away from the character’s importance on the team (we would have preferred a more assertive leader version of Reed Richards). If you want to turn your brain off mindless fun, see it in theaters, but see it in IMAX for the full experience.
