Jaeger-LeCoultre Deep Sea Chronograph Cermet

22
Jan

There’s a difference between a watch you buy, versus one you invest in; Jaeger-LeCoultre‘s new Deep Sea Chronograph Cermet leans toward the latter. For this release, which is a follow up to the brand’s highly successful Deep Sea Chronograph from last year, Jaegar-LeCoultre restructured the piece to increase durability. The main material here is Cermet, an “aluminum matrix coated in ceramic.” Cermet is 66% lighter than titanium, and has equitable (if not greater) shock-resistance. In addition to the material upgrade, the watch face has also been increased to a flattering 44mm. Embodying both masculinity and refined craftsmanship, the Deep Sea Chronograph Cermet is the kind of watch one would be proud to pass on to their children.
