Chalk one up for independent designers everywhere. Nearly a year after ADR Design first drew up the renderings for its Instagram Socialmatic Camera concept, the company announced this week that it recently approved to have the concept made under the Polaroid branding. In the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) ADR Design signed with C & A Marketing and PLR IP Holdings, the current owner of the Polaroid brand, the camera will be known as Polaroid Socialmatic Camera instead. The agreement also stipulated the addition of related accessories such as camera bags, lens, filters, and others. Production is set to start near the end of this year with the camera be available to consumers during the first quarter of 2014.
