Get On Up Trailer #1

Universal has released the first trailer for its upcoming biopic on the founding father of funk music, James Brown. Staring Chadwick Boseman as Brown, Get On Up is produced by Brian Gazer ,and co-produced by Mick Jagger, while co-stars include Nelsan Ellis, Lennie James, Tika Sumpter, Jill Scott and Dan Aykroyd. The film follows Brown’s rise to fame, from his poor childhood to becoming one of the most iconic musicians of the 20th century. Directed from a script written by Jez & John-Henry Butterworth ,Steven Baigelman,and is a part of the official “2014 Summer Film Guide.” In theaters August 1st.
