Christopher Ward C70 DBR1 Chronometer

The new Christopher Ward C70 DBR1 Chronometer, a timepiece that’s actually crafted from metal recovered during the restoration of the Aston Martin DBR1 that won the prestigious 24 hours race from Le Mans back in 1959. The historic car has been recently sold for $31 million, making it one of the most expensive cars sold at auction, and that’s why we think it could be said that this timepiece is even more special. It will be produced in just 100 units, each of them with a medallion that sits under the sapphire crystal as the face engraved with the same number 5 as the car wore at that race.

The rest of the 42 mm case is made from marine grade stainless and features the lovely metallic British racing green on its dial and anstrap Italian brown leather strap, stitched and perforated through.
