Longer and more brutish than the outgoing model, Land Rover’s new 2014 Range Rover Sport definitely cements itself as the muscle car of the lineup. The new Sport is lighter and more agile than the previous model shaving off a total of 800lbs due to its new aluminum construction, giving the car improved efficiency and better handling and performance on the road. Two engine options will be available, a 3.0L V6 that puts out 340 hp and a 5.0L Supercharged V8 that produces 510 hp and can hit 60 mph in 5 seconds flat. And of course, it wouldn’t deserve the Range Rover marque if it couldn’t tackle the trail, the car will include their new fully automatic Terrain Response 2 system that detects road conditions such as snow, gravel, and sand and adjusts the engine, transmission, differential, and chassis accordingly.
