The Hennessy Downtown Cognac Manhattan
Winter is upon us,and with a little help from our friends at Hennessy you can spice up a night on the town with the Downtown Cognac Manhattan. Traditionally a drink made with rye whiskey or bourbon, the addition of Hennessy V.S ,and Amaro Averna bring herbal notes and a full-bodied flavor to this legendary drink.
INGREDIENTS
- 1.5 oz Hennessy VS
- .5 oz Carpano Antica Formula sweet vermouth
- .25 oz of Averna
- 2 dashes angostura bitters
- Garnish with Orange Twist
DIRECTIONS
Add all ingredients to a mixing glass with ice and stir until well chilled. Strain into a chilled cocktail coupe or rocks glass depending on preference. Garnish with an orange twist.
