Gordon & Macphail are releasing one of the rarest whiskies of all time, a WW2-era 1943 Glenlivet. The whisky comes from a first fill Sherry hogshead cask that was filled on January 14th, 1943 and spent 24 years at Glenlivet

The XXV is a batch-produced whiskey finished in individually selected ex-sherry butts. The Oloroso-soaked oak imparts a nutty spiciness and enriches the flavour of the expression.Each cask is individually monitored in the finishing process to ensure only the subtlest sherry
