Aston Martin CC100 Speedster Concept

Automaker Aston Martin revisits its 100 years of history and looks to the future with its new CC100 Speedster concept. Deriving its inspiration from the DBR1, the racer that brought home the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 1959, the body of the car is a nod to its past while the materials that compose it are decidedly next-generation. Along with the interior, the body is crafted out of carbon fiber supplied by Multimatic, which was contracted by Aston Marton due to their expertise with low volume materials. Powered by a 6.0-litre V12 engine, the car made its debut yesterday, completing a lap at Germany’s 24 Hours of Nürburgring race. The car is touted as doing 0-62 mph in a little over four seconds and topping out at 180mph.

A Look At The 2015 Porsche 918 Spyder Hybrid

Porsche blends the best of both worlds with their newest release: the 918 Spyder Hybrid. Where many sportscars lack in sustainability, the Spyder Hybrid boasts both a 127hp electric motor on its front axle and a 154hp hybrid module on its rear axle. These features contribute to a laughably powerful combination of 887hp, for which the 918 Spyder Hybrid can thank its blistering 211mph top speed. Drivers can toggle between pure electric, V8, and hybrid modes, offering versatility for varying environments. Look for the 918 Spyder Hybrid to hit the U.S. in early 2014.

2014 Mercedes S-Class

Mercede’s grandest four-door gets a big update with a brand new S-Class for the 2014 model year. New to the S-Class is a pair of 12.3 screens that display the instrument cluster and infotainment, an interior dripping in LEDs (300 to be exact), and they’ve even created an LED brake light system that dims at night so its not beaming a beacon of red light into the driver behind you. Other bleeding edge features include “Magic Body Control” that uses stereo cameras to read the road and adjust the suspension accordingly, a comprehensive front and rear seat massage system, an “Air Balance” package that filters the air pumps your choice of five scents into the cabin, and improved versions of the company’s Driver Assist programs. The car will launch this fall with a V8-powered, 449 hp S550 model and a S550 4Matic to follow in the months after.

Lamborghini Egoista Concept

Plenty of cars even ,Lamborghini’s draw inspiration from aviation, but few take the concept as far as this. Created to celebrate Lambo’s 50th anniversary, the Lamborghini Egoista Concept takes many of its styling cues from the Apache helicopter. Named after the Italian word for “selfish”, this unique concept is centered around a single-person, carbon fiber and aluminum cockpit that’s actually removable, and is designed around the driver, with a racing seat, four-point restraints, and a heads-up display. LED clearance lights replace traditional headlights, hidden xenon headlamps provide distance lighting, and flaps on the bodywork help increase stability and airflow to the 600hp, 5.2L V10 engine. If that wasn’t enough, the body and wheels are made from anti-radar material, giving us just one more reason to believe that this beast won’t be going into production any time soon.

Spyker B6 Venator

Initially unveiled in Geneva back in March, Dutch automotive manufacturer Spyker has introduced a further look and additional info regarding its upcoming B6 Venator. Under the hood a V6 mid-engine supplies upwards of 375 hp to the rear wheels via a six-speed automatic transmission while the interior of the vehicle sees premium leather upholstery, aluminum accents and fighter plane-inspired instruments. Italdesign Giugiaro Parcour

The Geneva Motor Show always showcases some of the most original (and still tasteful) automotive works out there, and the Italdesign Giugiaro Parcour was one of them this year though no one’s quite sure what category it falls in. Part Lambo Gallardo, part SUV and all badass, the Parcour was designed as an “all-terrain GT” car. It’s like a stealthy Kung Fu master who also moonlights as a lumberjack. The Parcour makes use of the Gallardo’s beefy 5.2-liter V10 power plant with 550 hp and adds a nifty electronic system to raise and lower the car from 210mm to 330mm and back again, coupled with four drive settings, including Sport, Comfort, Off-Road and Ice. Consider it the perfect upper-crusty car for those times when the five-star restaurant where you’re dining also happens to have a gravel driveway.

The Lamborghini Aventador by A. Kahn Design

According to Lamborghini, “Aventador” was the name of a bull that entered into a battle at the Saragossa Arena in Spain, earning much acclaim for its exceptional courage. Courage, however, is not merely confined to the Aventador; it is the name of the game for Afzal Kahn. The principal British designer’s obsession with turning some of the most iconic cars on the road into fashion statements is nothing new. He has found a happy medium between customisation, luxury, and design.
