Must See Films

This film was adapted from Ron Hansen’s 1983 novel of the same name. Unlike Jesse James movies of the past, Andrew Dominik’s film is presented as a psychoanalytical historical epic rather than a shoot-‘em-up western. The movie details the outlaw’s deteriorating psyche during his final months of life as he slowly succumbs to paranoia and develops a precarious friendship with his eventual assassin, Robert Ford. The strange relationship between the two men is examined over the course of the film. Peter Bradshaw’s review in The Guardian makes note of James’ contribution to his own demise as well as the apparent paradox present in the title of both novel and film.

The Godfather is the beginning of all mafia movies, a staple in most men’s collection, and one the few movies to actually inspire real life mafia members to make the traditions in the movie, traditions in their own families.(One of the most notable is the kissing of the Godfather’s ring.) Many have see it,but few know that this film introduced the world to Al Pacino. We are also privy to seeing a man,Micheal, shun his family’s lifestyle, only later embracing it while becoming more power, and more dangerous than his father/brother before him. This along with overall the style of the film makes this a Must See Film.

Must See Films…..

This film is by far one the best films I’ve seen all year. The man who invited the most successful social network of all time ,Facebook. This movie is the perfect length at just 2 hour exactly. This film follows Mark Zuckerberg the creator of Facebook from the humble beginnings of his Harvard dorm to becoming the youngest billionaire in history at 26. All the while being told as he sets through being sued by four people(included his best-friend). Mark’s story mirror’s that of a young Bill Gates, who himself improved on an idea and became a billionaire.(still the wealthiest man in America to date according to Forbes) This movie is both entertaining, funny, and a must see film for anyone one who is Facebook obsessed.

Must See Films….

Bruce Lee’s film “The Way Of The Dragon”  hits blu ray. If you haven’t seen this film I suggest seeing the new blu ray version from China. This version has more footage than the original U.S. release.,and is interesting to hear in the original Chinese version. This version only has English sub-titles though it has a few characters speaking in english, and the picture and sound is better than ever. So if you’re a die hard Bruce Lee fan such as myself,or new to his films this version of The Way Of The Dragon is definitely a must see film
