Plenty of cars even ,Lamborghini’s draw inspiration from aviation, but few take the concept as far as this. Created to celebrate Lambo’s 50th anniversary, the Lamborghini Egoista Concept takes many of its styling cues from the Apache helicopter. Named after the Italian word for “selfish”, this unique concept is centered around a single-person, carbon fiber and aluminum cockpit that’s actually removable, and is designed around the driver, with a racing seat, four-point restraints, and a heads-up display. LED clearance lights replace traditional headlights, hidden xenon headlamps provide distance lighting, and flaps on the bodywork help increase stability and airflow to the 600hp, 5.2L V10 engine. If that wasn’t enough, the body and wheels are made from anti-radar material, giving us just one more reason to believe that this beast won’t be going into production any time soon.
Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., the ABC television show about the comic-book universe’s espionage and law-enforcement agency, has surfaced online. The 30-second spot highlights Clark Gregg reprising his role as Agent Phil Coulson from Marvel’s feature films, including Iron Man, Iron Man 2, Thor and The Avengers (in which he dies). According to the show’s official site, Coulson assembles a small, highly trained team of agents to “tackle the cases that haven’t been classified yet — the new strange and the unknown.” Members of S.H.I.E.LD., or Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division, include: Agent Grant Ward (Brett Dalton), Agent Melinda May (Ming-Na Wen), Agent Leo Fitz (Iain De Caestecker) and Agent Jemma Simmons (Elizabeth Henstridge). Directed and co-written by Joss Whedon of Buffy the Vampire Slayer fame, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. does not yet have a release date, although the promo, says it’s “coming soon.”
Kate Upton is set to premiere her first ever cover shoot with Vogue magazine, and in conjunction with the forthcoming debut, we are offered a look behind-the-scenes of the model and actress’s stint in Uruguay. Depicting the American beauty in a fairly conservative light in contrast to some of her previous photoshoots, Upton’s shorter hair and retro styled wardrobe seem to pair well. Listing off a handful of seasonal accessories that Kate can’t live without, the flick also shares an element of the equestrian theme that Vogue chose to highlight for the shoot.
There have been rumours in recent weeks that Apple is planning a complete redesign for iOS 7 that moves away from the “skeuomorphic” look it has relied on to date, which designs digital objects like real-world objects. Now, one digital agency has come out with a video imagining what this kind of redesign might actually look like. In the concept video, Simply Zesty shows off a flatter user interface. Each of the app icons have less-rounded edges and cleaner designs. The calendar app ditches the look and feel of a printed calendar in favour of a design more like the Sunrise app. The weather app has a more minimalistic design that is similar to Forecast, a web-based weather app from the makers of Dark Sky.

Nokia’s latest effort to take on iOS and Android is a new entrant in their Windows-powered Lumia Smartphone range, the 928. The new phone has their much hyped “PureView” photography solution which uses a 8.7 megapixel camera with a Zeiss F/2.0 lens for great low light photography and a big and bright, 334 PPI 4.5 inch OLED display. As for power, the phone has a 1.5GHz dual core processor, 1GB of RAM, and 32GBs of storage.

In honor of an official selection from our 2013 Summer Film Guide “The Great Gatsby’s” film release; this week on New Music Fridays we feature Young And Beautiful. The title theme from The Great Gatsby soundtrack preformed by Lana Del Rey. If you are unaware of her , here is a little information. Born Elizabeth Woolridge Grant on June 21, 1986 ,and she initially began performing in clubs in New York City at age 18. Two years later she signed her first recording contract when she was 20 years old with 5 Points Records, releasing her first digital album Lana Del Ray a.k.a. Lizzy Grant in January 2010. Del Rey bought herself out of the contract with 5 Points Records in April 2010 and signed a joint contract with Interscope, Polydor, and Stranger Records in October 2011. After she released her debut single ”Video Games” in June 2011, a music video created by Del Rey for the song was posted on YouTube in August 2011. After the song became a viral internet hit with over 20 million views, her second studio album, Born to Die, was released in January 2012. The album sold over 3.6 million copies worldwide in 2012, making it the fifth best-selling album of 2012.
